The Ninth Annual Folk Boot Camp at NMC

Folk Boot Camp offers a unique chance to learn from the Festival’s favourite guitar heroes and songsmiths. Glean new songs, arrangements, vocal techniques and instrumental skills three hours daily for three consecutive days among the National Music Centre’s collection of rare and curious keyboards and instruments.

Eddy Nights with host John Rutherford and Special Guest Tim Williams

We are pleased to partner with the Calgary International Blues Festival in presenting Eddy Nights featuring special guest, Tim Williams, the 2014 winner of the International Blues Challenge. John Rutherford, a staple on the original scene hosts a series of talk-show style discussions with special guests, feature interviews, musical performances and artifacts that will tell the stories of who played at the Eddy, what happened and why the Eddy was so influential. Join the audience in recounting the good old days while helping write the script for the future of the Eddy as part of the new NMC building.
