Video: A Tribe Called Red on their latest collaborator, TONTO

November 28, 2018

As part of their 2018 residency with the National Music Centre (NMC), A Tribe Called Red were the first artists to use monster synth TONTO in the creation of new music after years of restoration work on the instrument. The multiple JUNO Award-winning act, currently comprised of Bear Witness and 2oolman, spoke to NMC’s Performance and Artist Programs Manager Paul Brooks on November 15 during a public worksop about their residency with NMC, and how working with the mothership of synths forever affected their workflow. You’ll also get to sample a taste of new music that will appear on their forthcoming album.
